Hikes Available to Members

Welcome to ORTA. We can’t wait to get out on the trail with you! Our guided hikes are open to our membership, and some are open to non-members. Although we encourage all hikers to consider an ORTA membership, non-members should feel welcome on any open hikes listed. Please note: many hikes will remain “member only”.

Please read the 5 steps below and then follow the process to register for an upcoming guided hike with ORTA.

STEP 1: Please log in or create your profile HERE Please note: to view upcoming hikes on our registration site (Wild Apricot), you must have a profile.

STEP 2: Once logged in, click the link “Register for Hikes” which is located at the bottom of the page. Please note: this link will only be visible once you have logged in.

STEP 3: Please read the waivers (highlighted in yellow) as you will be asked to agree to them on a subsequent page.

STEP 4: Click “Register” for the hike(s) that you want to join and follow the registration instructions. Please note: Hike Leaders have the discretion to set a maximum for each of their hikes. Some hikes will have a maximum imposed while others may not. Please, only sign up for hikes that you plan to attend.

STEP 5: If you need to cancel your registration, please do so as soon as possible to give other members/public hikers the opportunity to attend. Should there be a waitlist, if someone does cancel, the first person on the waitlist will be notified BY EMAIL. As cancellations can happen even on the morning of the hike, please check your emails in the hours leading up to the hike. Out of courtesy, if you cancel after 6 pm the night before the hike, please notify the hike leader by phone (contact information listed in the hike description).

If you have questions about a particular hike, call the hike leader listed. If you require assistance with administrative issues, please call or email the office. (905-833-6600 info@oakridgestrail.org). The ORTA office is open Tuesdays and Thursday. We'll be happy to help.

** Hike Leaders have the authority to deny participation for hikers in obvious poor health or who are ill equipped for the conditions

** Parking at some hike locations may require payment. This is not set by ORTA.
